We are looking for someone who would be at the level of a British politician’s speech writer that has a deep understanding of technology. The ideal candidate knows how to build businesses and how to speak to build our client't brands. It has to be a high level of philosophical thought with short form remarks on Twitter and long form editorials about high level insights. Write speeches, control PR, manage the client's online profile etc. We need someone who is an incredibly thoughtful and cerebral person. A truly professional writer, profound thinker on a philosopher level.

JOB SUMMARY:

Director of Communications is responsible for developing effective messaging and communication strategies. They must create or oversee the creation of promotional and informative materials the company will send to the public. They might also be involved with internal company communications. They’ll work with all forms of media, including press releases and digital campaigns, print materials, social media, audio and video and more.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

● Develop brand voice and maintain brand integrity across all platforms.

●Build strategic narratives that tie all of the company’s various properties together in one cohesive story

● Partner with PR counterparts across organization to bring strategies to life globally

● Work cross-functionally with other teams to build integrated strategies across various communication platforms to elevate overarching company-wide initiatives.

● Support internal communications with strategy and execution of company news and updates; support rollout and update of key internal documents and communication to employees

● Act as a key contact for agency relationships ensuring integration with the brand, setting strategy, and project planning are tactically executed

● Develop a range of communication materials including messaging, scripts, press releases and media statements in partnership with stakeholders internally and externally

● Track engagement across various platforms and make data-driven decisions.

● Manage presence at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

● Project a positive company image to the public.

● Ensure quality control of all information released.

● Other duties as required


SKILLS:

● BA or advanced degree in communications, Marketing or related field.

● 10+ years communications experience.

● Extensive list of media contacts.

● Awareness of and proficiency with communications technologies.

● Experience in stakeholder/community engagement.

● Clear and concise communication with team members and senior management.

● Strong and confident leadership.

● Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

● Ability to remain calm and collected in high pressure situations

● An understanding of current social/digital platforms

● Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful

● Ability to multitask and prioritize duties

● Possess good understanding of web, social, and talent & creator landscape

● Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite and Slack.

● Exceptional written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.

● A commitment to excellence and a deep belief in diversity and collaboration

● Possess positive attitude, sound judgement, and top-level professionalism


Salary: 150-190K DOE
